THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
CHARTER STANDARD CLUB PROGRAMME

The F A Charter Standard Clubs programme provides national recognition to those clubs who demonstrate: Required standards, Raising standards, Reaching excellence.
There are three awards each with their own targets and status, which clubs can aim:

FA Charter Standard Clubs – available for both Youth & Adult Clubs. Youth Clubs must demonstrate: Management, Child Protection, Qualified coaches, Codes of Conduct and Insurance

FA Charter Standard Development Clubs – must have met criteria for Charter Standard Club and must also have: at least 5 teams at 4 different age groups and a Football Development Plan

FA Charter Standard Community Clubs – this award is the pinnacle of the Charter Standard Programme. In addition to meeting all of the Charter Standard criteria above Clubs need: 10 teams, Youth to Adult, Mini-Soccer, Boys & Girls’ teams, 3-5 year Football Development Plan.

What are the benefits?
Clubs which receive the Charter Standard Award will be able to access a comprehensive benefits package which includes: Use of FA logo, promotional materials, F A Child Protection and Best Practice – The Guide, footballs and tickets for England youth & women’s internationals.
